Andrija Repec

Theatre-maker and teacher, interest in Devised Theatre, with experience of leading multiple teams to deliver a clear vision to date.

Born in Zagreb, based in Vienna, with an artistic link to London. Graduate of Vienna University with a BA in Musicology and The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with a MA in Advanced Theatre Practice.

Credits as Director include ‘Lady Macbeth’, an adaptation of the famous Shakespearean character, for ‘Shakingupshakespeare’ – an original showcase of scenes and monologues to open up the Shakespearean canon and provide space for non-traditional castings and interpretations at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. ‘Raus aus dem Haus’ – an opera for children by David Wagner and Ingeborg von Zadow, premiered at the Musiktheater Linz in Austria. Lastly Andrija took over the role of a Senior Artist at Mozarteum University in Salzburg (Department for Opera).

As an international theatre-maker, Andrija is collaborating with ‘VOILA! Europe Theatre Festival’ in London and is responsible for the sister festival in Vienna and the Austrian theatre society ‘all in equilibrium’ founded with Petra Freimund in 2020.
