Mela, you enjoy working in a team, right? A common idea can bring people together without losing one’s own opinion right? MELA! Mela, Andrija Repec is back and he’s fascinated with the word … yep you guessed it … MELA! So … erm MELA we are using MELA to devise theatre.
About the Tutor
ANDRIJA REPEC, born in Zagreb, based in Vienna, with an artistic link to London. Graduate of Vienna University with a BA in Musicology and The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with a MA in Advanced Theatre Practice. Credits as Director include ‘Lady Macbeth’ – an adaptation of the famous Shakespearean character starring Marco Calleja, for ‘Shakingupshakespeare’ at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. ‘Raus aus dem Haus’ – an opera for children by David Wagner and Ingeborg von Zadow, premiered at the Musiktheater Linz in Austria. As Assistant Director he was working with José Cura, Chen Reiss, David Pountney, Dennis Russel Davies, Rosamund Gilmore and many more. As an international theatre-maker, Andrija is collaborating with ‘VOILA! Europe Theatre Festival’ in London and is responsible for the sister festival in Vienna and the Austrian theatre society ‘all in equilibrium’ founded with Petra Freimund in 2020.
